About Us
Mission Medical Technologies grew out of a small IT consulting firm and
originated from the founders' desire to create truly efficient,
non-invasive portable medical diagnostic devices.
The founders of this business, Scott Gibson and Prof. John Choma, started
working on the idea of a remote blood analyzer when they noted the number of
trips Prof. Choma's mother-in-law was making to the doctor each year for
routine blood exams. Over time the idea of making a simple device grew
into an array of different devices and services.
Today Mission Medical Technologies has three primary goals:
-
Reduce the cost of medical care
-
Make preventive medicine a true and practical reality
-
Assist health care professionals in taking full advantage of today's tools
while preparing them for tomorrow's technology.
To achieve all of these goals, Mission Medical Technologies is also hard at
work developing the next generation of medical software that will assist health
care professionals use the volumes of patient data while ensuring compliance
with the Health Information Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA).
